Welcome to AskAyla.org (“Ask Ayla”), an online informational and support platform operated by We Love Joy Foundation (“We Love Joy Foundation,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). Ask Ayla utilizes artificial intelligence technology, including technology provided by OpenAI and other third-party providers, to deliver informational, educational, and supportive content to users.

Ask Ayla was created from lived experience to support parents, caregivers, family members, and individuals navigating childhood disability, complex medical conditions, developmental challenges, and caregiving journeys.

Your access to and use of Ask Ayla is subject to these Terms of Use. By accessing or using Ask Ayla, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the platform.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page, and continued use of Ask Ayla following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Ask Ayla Does Not Provide Medical Advice

Ask Ayla is a non-medical informational and emotional support platform. The information, suggestions, resources, recommendations, and responses generated through Ask Ayla are provided solely for educational, informational, and caregiver-support purposes.

While lived experience can provide meaningful support, understanding, and guidance, every individual and family situation is unique.

Information that may be helpful for one family may not be appropriate for another. Users are solely responsible for evaluating information provided through Ask Ayla and determining whether it is suitable for their own circumstances.

Ask Ayla encourages users to consult appropriate professionals before making decisions related to healthcare, education, therapies, legal matters, financial planning, or other significant life decisions.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

Ask Ayla utilizes artificial intelligence technologies provided by OpenAI and other technology partners. Artificial intelligence systems may occasionally generate responses that are:

  • Incomplete

  • Inaccurate

  • Misleading

User Responsibilities

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or use of Ask Ayla shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
